Widemouth bay is on the Atlantic coast 3 miles south of bude, it’s a long and open sandy bay perfect for learning how to surf or body board. This is why most of the local surf schools teach from here. Its also great for long walks along the beach and a great staring point to walk some og the north Cornish footpaths across the cliffs.

A national trust owned beach set against a dramatic back drop of a sheer cliff face, it has a great café at the top perfect for a hot drink to warm you up after a dip. At low tide you can take a 2 mile walk around to crooklets beach you may see a buried shipwreck on your way.

Millook beach is a large pebble beach just two miles south of widemouth bay its usually very quiet even in the height of summer, its well known by keen and experienced surfers and has impressive views perfect for watching the sunset.

The main beach in the centre of bude, a wide sandy beach sheltered by the impressive breakwater, it’s the perfect sandy beach packed full of things to do. It has an impressive sea pool perfect for a summers day dip and cute little beach huts that are available to hire throughout the summer for the ultimate beach day!
